What do you envision gaining from your mentorship?
This mentorship has opened the door for a greater education in the aviation field, which is my absolute passion. Ever since I was in elementary school, my family and I would go out to the local airport, which had a restaurant, and eat and watch aircraft land and depart the airport. I fell in love with aviation, but was unable to pursue it when money became an issue. In mentorship, I seek to expand my knowledge of aviation to prepare me to make a career out of it in the future.
What actions will you take to ensure you get the most from your experiences?
To ensure I get the most from my experiences, I will take notes, do outside studies, get pictures, ask questions. Basically, anything to further my knowledge of aviation and take it to whole new levels.
How is preparing you for the future?
This mentorship is allowing me to further my education in the aviation field to help me prepare for a future career in that field. My plans are to go from high school and attend the United States Military Academy (West Point), and from there go to the Aviation branch of the Army where I take on the career as an Army pilot. After flying for the Army, I will leave the Army to enter the civilian aviation world as an commercial fixed-wing pilot. I can use this experience to prepare me for my entire future as an aviator.
